Gaining Confidence - 8 Week Challenge

We are at the half way point in our 8 Week Body Transformation Challenge here at Deakin Sports and Recreation – Waurn Ponds Fitness Centre, and we wanted to highlight one of our participants Holly.
Holly joined our 8 Week Challenge to gain confidence and said the first few weeks have been challenging but is enjoying the variety of workouts in each session.
“It’s helping me push myself more, it’s allowing me to go beyond the limits I usually set for myself when I’m working out,” said Holly.
Each week we run three sessions, which are alternated between trainers so that the sessions are different each time.
We also have a Facebook group where participants can talk to each other, offer encouragement, words of advice and a nutritionist in the group to help.
“I find the nutrition to be a bit difficult because it’s influenced by many other things, but after a few slips up in week one, I am doing well,” said Holly.
Holly finds the trainers and participants friendly and welcoming, which makes it even easier to get up in the morning to work out.
“I’ve had a few setbacks already, especially with some negative comments about my weight, but this challenge is giving me drive and starting to help boost my confidence,” said Holly.
